How to Export Your WhatsApp Chat (Android & iPhone)

Exporting your WhatsApp chat is the first step to using ChatWrapped. Here is exactly how to do it on both Android and iPhone.

On Android

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the chat you want to export.
2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right.
3. Tap More → Export Chat.
4. Choose Without Media (faster, smaller file).
5. Save or share the .txt file to your device.

On iPhone (iOS)

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the chat.
2. Tap the contact name at the top.
3. Scroll down and tap Export Chat.
4. Choose Without Media.
5. Save the file using AirDrop, Files app, or email it to yourself.

Upload to ChatWrapped

Once you have the .txt file, go to ChatWrapped and drop it in. Your stats will be ready in seconds — all processed privately in your browser.
